Earn your master’s degree and work toward American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), New York state, and/or Teaching Students with Speech-Language Disabilities (TSSLD) certification in our top-ranked program. What You’ll Learn
Gain a strong understanding of the connections between the scientific bases of speech-language pathology and its clinical practice. You’ll learn to evaluate, diagnose and treat disorders in children and adults from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Research Opportunities
Our program offers numerous opportunities for research, with labs devoted to neurobiology, neurophysiology, neurocognition, voice and quality of life, augmentative/alternative communication, and speech science.
Hands-On Learning
Gain clinical experience in our on-campus Hy Weinberg Center—where you’ll help provide speech, language and hearing services to members of the surrounding community and be part of innovative group therapy programs for patients of all ages—and in internships at area hospitals, rehabilitation centers, schools and private practices.
